Rose of Sharon Collection: Creation

First, He filled the darkness with light.

On the second day, He created the sky, a broad open space for flight.

On the third day, He gathered the water into oceans and seas. The dry land He named “Earth”, and He covered the Earth with flowers and trees.

On the fourth day, He created the Sun to give warmth to the day. He added the moon and twinkling stars to illuminate the way.

On the fifth day, He filled the waters with creatures - from coral to fish to whales large and strong. He filled the sky with birds, who filled the air with harmonious song.

On the sixth day, as His trees began to bear fruits, He filled the Earth with animals of every kind, including humankind. For this particular animal He had something special in mind.

On the seventh day, He paused to rest in the shade and admired the world He had made. “Let us see how this goes,” He chuckled as He watched his creations roam free. Meanwhile, Eve picked an apple and sat under the tree.
