Could my red feathers bloom by spring? 
If only I had paid more attention in math class, 
Or read Poisson instead of forging a hall pass 
To go forage for flowers in the cafeteria, 
Snacking on salvia and grazing on wisteria…
Could I estimate, calculate and reason 
The chance that my red feathers will grow in this season?
